Maintenance Mechanic HR2-00048

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Mechanic assists the Maintenance Technicians in maintaining the facility’s manufacturing equipment, vehicles, buildings and grounds. The Maintenance Mechanic will take part in making mechanical and electrical repairs, rigging, and will be involved in special projects such as modifying existing equipment or installation of new equipment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The duties assigned to the Maintenance Mechanic shall include but are not limited to:

 

  • Completes assigned weekly preventative maintenance work orders and repair work orders according to the written instruction under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager or an appointed Maintenance Technician.

  • Assists the Maintenance Technician to trouble shoot, repair, and test equipment in order to return it to service.

  • Document problems, troubleshooting techniques, repair procedures, and results to be used for training others.

  • Generates work orders for follow up and repair based on input from machine operators and through personal observation of equipment, building and grounds.

  • Other duties as requested by supervisor.

  • Similar experience in a production environment highly preferred.

  • Maintains efficient work habits, including attendance, punctuality, safety, and appropriate use of resources.

 

Desired Skills/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
