Master Scheduler (Stafford, TX) HR9-00091
The Master Scheduler is responsible for the creation and implementation of schedules for the organization’s production or manufacturing needs, to ensure efficient operations. In addition, the Master Scheduler will monitor the implementation of scheduling to determine better future practices, evaluating success to further streamline all processes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements to improve productivity and increase profitability.
•Conducts weekly scheduling meeting to review previous production performance and to gain plant alignment around future production requirements.
•Analyze and review manufacturing run sizes and communicate opportunities to improve the balance of cost and service among raw materials, conversion, and finished good costs.
•Maintains standard cost data for all materials.
•Confer with department supervisors to determine status of current production schedule.
•Expedite operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
•Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
•Monitor capacity settings in system.
•Develop and maintain stock levels and run sizes to economically support Sales and Shipping while maintaining minimum inventory levels.
•Create and maintain various reports and tools to effectively track KPI metrics related to manufacturing and production performance to plan.
•Must be a dynamic individual who excels working in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
•Experience and strong understanding of scheduling, planning, project management, supply chain and continuous improvement.
•Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written at multiple levels of employee and customer organizations.
•Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
•Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.
•Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.
•Problem solver with the ability to provide out-of-the-box solutions.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
•Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of Business, Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering or similar.
•5 - 7 years of material management, planning and/or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Experience using ERP software and a demonstrated understanding of the MS-Office Suite of productivity tools. Dynamics365 experience strongly preferred.
•Strong knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, and customer service.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong service attitude.
