Packaging Coordinator II (Stafford, TX) HR9-00101

Job Purpose

The Packaging Coordinator II performs packaging duties, shipping and receiving, and general warehousing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

•Preparation and packaging of product for shipment per procedures.

•Reviews and verifies outgoing shipments to ensure products and documentation meet the specified requirements. Confirms the engineering configuration and counts, weighs, or measures items of Customer shipments against the Job packet, bill of lading, orders, packaging slips or other records.

•Update Scheduled shipments board for priority order of shipments for on-time delivery.

•Receive all incoming shipments into the ERP system, focusing on inputting accurate part numbers, quantities, and heat/lot numbers for each receipt.

•Develop and maintain department work instructions and procedures. Present proposed changes to Supervisor or higher role for approval.

•Work directly with Logistics Lead to create DHL, UPS and FED EX airway bills ensuring all customer information is accurate and up to date.

•Process all receiving paperwork according to departmental guidelines.

Required Skills/Experience

•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Mechanical aptitude required.
•Must be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive business-related materials.
•Must be able to work with people to accomplish assigned tasks.
•Must be able to read, understand, learn and follow written and verbal safety, quality and work instructions.
•Must have previous Packaging, Shipping and Receiving experience.
•Must be able to operate a forklift truck.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent time management skills.
•Working knowledge of Warehousing and or Logistics processes.
•Ability to read and interpret drawings.

 

MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES

Desired Skills/Experience

•Preferred: Minimum of 2 to 4 years packaging, warehousing, shipping, and receiving experience and/or training.

•Working knowledge of Lot, Heat, and Batch Control is a plus.

•Excel, Word, - Intermediate preferred.
